Wine Country Wedding
I’m a Sonoma County photographer, and I was thrilled to capture this charming wine country wedding featuring a bride and her cowboy. After the pandemic delays, Lance and Mayra finally got their chance to tie the knot—and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Set on a stunning private estate in Sonoma Wine Country, their celebration took place on a beautiful fall day.
This was my first large wedding of 2021, and I was so excited to witness a full gathering again, surrounded by family and friends. One of the most memorable guests? Their beautiful half-wolf canine, who attended the celebration and was incredibly well behaved.

Since I am a Sonoma County photographer I love these charming weddings in wine country surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills. Mayra was such a beautiful bride. She loved being in front of the camera and she was truly a natural. The ceremony was lined with red rose petals and family and friends all stood along the pathway as they walked down the aisle. Her father walked her down , and he was also their officiant. I love the way bride looked at the groom and he looked at her. These two were so in love. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a bride smile so much.

After the ceremony, we slipped away to a quiet hill on the beautiful Sonoma property, nestled beneath the oak trees. It’s always special to step away from the hustle and bustle of the wedding day and give the couple a few moments to themselves—it creates the most genuine, natural photographs.
Mayra soaked in every second of the photo session, while her cowboy, Lance, happily went along with it all—and even admitted he had a great time too. Moments like these are exactly why I find wine country so incredibly charming. Below are a few images that capture that magic.

The reception was full of energy, and you could feel how happy everyone was to be together again, celebrating this special couple and simply enjoying being social. And of course, we can’t forget the cowboy element—Mayra finally married her cowboy.
The cowboys gave a memorable speech, and during the rest of the toasts, there was even a playful “brawl” happening in the background—lots of laughter, a bit of rolling around, and all in good fun. After all, what’s a cowboy wedding without a little action?
As the evening went on, a gentle rain began to fall, and before long, everyone was out on the dance floor embracing it. Dancing in the rain gave the night an extra touch of magic and made the celebration even more unforgettable.

The couple ended the night with a beautiful dried flower exit—a perfect, romantic send-off to an unforgettable day. For me, this is what a perfect wedding day looks like as a photographer. I absolutely loved this wedding and this couple. Moments like these are exactly why I love photographing weddings in wine country.
