Tiny Elopement wedding In The Mendocino Forest

What a perfect setting Redwoods and streams in a Natural reserve in the Mendocino forest for a wedding. My couple John & Christina were married in Montgomery woods in a tiny elopement wedding in Mendocino.

An elopement is a small intimate gathering. These weddings have become very popular during the pandemic. This one was very intimate with just the brides brother there as the officiant and the witness. The ceremony was short and encased nature as the highlight of the vows.

The site in the forest they chose was right under a big redwood, so tall and amazing. Some redwood trees had fallen and we were able to use them as pedestals for romantic photos . There was a little stream flowing that made the background so relaxing. It also added for some romantics because there was a small bridge to sit on and dip toes into! I think what I loved the most was the fern Grotto we found to photograph some romantics in.

We all hiked about a mile in to get to the perfect place they had chosen for their wedding. If you are into natural forest settings, with big Redwoods and a quiet stream as the background noise this would be the perfect venue for you.
