A fall wedding at this private estate was a perfect venue for California country wedding photography. The ceremony took place overlooking a small little pond with Oak trees surrounding the site. The venue was in Loomis California and the owners had an amazing victorian home on the property. They allowed my bride and groom to take photos on the lawn in front of their amazing home. What made it even better is that we had a horse drawn carriage with two draft horses for romantic photos in front of the victorian mansion.
My bride Alexis & groom Simon had so much passion and it showed in the photos. We started out with a first touch mini session behind a large wide oak tree. A first touch session is where the bride and groom touch hand behind a tree, barn, building or something where they can’t actually see each other. The couple read their own private vows to each other and it became very emotional. We were able to capture the magic of their emotions in the photos and freeze the memories in time forever.
California Country Wedding Photography
The ceremony was small and quaint with just about 50 guests. Alexis rode over to the ceremony site in the horse drawn carriage and it was very nostalgic. Here father met her at the carriage and walked her down the aisle. The wedding was heartwarming and all of their children were in the bridal party. They also incorporated a sand ceremony to combine the families together.
Right after the ceremony we all travelled to the victorian home for some fun photos on the front lawn with the bridal party. We then headed to the reception under the oak trees outside with twinkle lights where toasts were spoken and dinner was served. After dinner it was the perfect time, golden hour, to head over to the field for some romantics of the bride and groom.
Golden Hour Romantics With Horses
The golden hour romantics were perfect because we asked ahead of time if we could go into the field with the horses and the owner allowed us the pleasure to visit with the horses and do photos with them. Alexis told me that she loves horses and hoped one day to own one. Of course I was also in heaven since I have two horses myself and love to incorporate these majestic equines any time I can. We had a blast. Alexis is so photogenic and she loves to be in front of the camera and the camera loves her. Alexis and Simon have that kind of passion you can feel so their wedding photos depicted that passion completely. I think you will be able to feel the love too!
We ended the day with lst dances and cake cutting and then open dancing! Enjoy the photos from this beautiful private estate wedding which made for perfect California country wedding photography in northern California on this beautiful fall day.
